GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
These electrical appliances must be grounded. Should the unit malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock and other injuries.
Our products are equipped with a cord that has an equipment grounding conductor AND a grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and is grounded in accordance with all safety guidelines, and ordinances.
Our products are suitable for use on a nominal 240 volt circuit, and has a grounding plug that is depicted below in sketch A. A temporary adapter that is also depicted below itemized in sketch B and C may be used to connect the appliance plug to should a properly grounded outlet isn’t available.
The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (Sketch A) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green coloured, rigid ear, or lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a correctly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place with a metal screw.
